Personal.
My name's Greg Sumner. I was born in 1969 in San Diego, CA. I now live in Seattle, Washington with my wife Laurel, our dog Rudy and cat Evil. We were married in November of 98, and we bought a house in Seattle that same year. We spend a lot of time working on the house, keeping Rudy in line, and trying to sort through our several dozen hobbies. Laurel and I have been together since 1991, which incidentally is the year the UW Huskies won the NCAA football Mythical National Championship. Laurel is now a senior at the University of Washington majoring in business administration.

Why's "Gmon?"
Gmon is my old hacker nickname. I started using it in the 'old' days, mostly because there are already so many Gregs out there. I used it again for online Quake games a few years back, and it's just stuck around. As a domain name I like it because it's nice and short, and easy to remember.

Professional.
I am employed by a company called SmartPros, which is a company consisting of KeepSmart.Com and my old company, Pro2Net.com. I spend time between the SmartPros offices in New York and my home office in Seattle.

Interests
You may have noticed I'm an avid University of Washington football fan. My Husky page has moved HERE. I can be found on the Husky mailing list, which you can subscribe to by clicking the link and adding your name to the body of the message. We travel to away games pretty frequently. I can also be found on various Usenet groups, including alt.sports.college.pac-10 and rec.sport.football.college. R.S.F.C - You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

I actually do physical stuff too... I ride a mountain bike around when it's not raining, I am a fair golfer, and I'm a decent motorcyclist. I've undergone some race training, and I hope to get a race bike in the coming years and join the state amatuer league, once I have the time, and I convince Laurel it won't kill me.

Other interests include cooking, wine, camping, brewing (and drinking) beer, film, writing, running, and snow skiing. Our annual ski trip alternates between Whistler B.C. and Mt. Bachelor in central Oregon.

Computers
Being a life-long computer geek means I use a computer all day at work, and sometimes at home. My interestes are mostly in computer security, Unix administration, and hardware. Recently I've learned a lot about Windows NT, SQL and ASP programming. In fact this site is my first experiment in ASP.
