Week 2: @ Colorado Buffaloes

Greg's preview:
WEEK 3 Well, one thing's for sure, we're suddenly all a lot more optimistic about the Dawgs. That's a good thing I suppose. However my feeling is the Huskies over-achieved against Miami. This is not to say they played above their potential. I think our players are very talented but they played their "A" game against the Hurricanes. No matter how you slice it we still have a very young secondary, and as we all know young players do not always bring their "A" game. I'm sure we all recall Tuiososopo as a sophomore QB, making the mistakes that sophomores all make. I think this team is bound to trip up somewhere down the line, and I think the Colorado game is the most obvious place for that to happen. Why? Off a big win, it's easy to lose focus on what got you the big win in the first place. They're also facing a seriously talented and embarrased team, against the coach who recruited them, at home. I have no doubt Colorado will play to their fullest potential on Saturday. One thing I really like about the new coaching regime is how they get the players prepared, and get them to play at their best. Having great on-field leadership is something the great teams have, and this team also has that. This is the great thing about college football, you never know who's going to win. It often comes down to "who wants it more" to use one more cliche. I have a feeling Colorado REALLY wants it. We can start dreaming about a BCS bowl I suppose, after all Michican nearly won the final four with five starting freshmen once. It's a long season with a lot of opportunities to make mistakes along the way, CU will be a big hurdle. What I would like to see most is the Huskies come out focused and redoubling their effort after a big win. My prediction is Colorado by 7. But if the Huskies can pull this off and start 3-0 with a bye week before Pac-10 play then I think the steamroller will be hard to stop.
