I-90 / 97 / Stevens Pass (Hwy 2)
Scale of 1-10: 8.5
Total Miles (from Seattle): About 250.
Highlights: Roslyn, Hwy 10, Hwy 97, Leavenworth, Stevens Pass.
This is a fun ride, the only problem with it is the time you have to spend on I-90. Also when I rode it 97 had a bunch of lane closures, and you had to wait in line while they reversed traffic on the single lane.
(1) Start heading East on I-90. Buzz along and try not to fall asleep, until you get to:
(2) Roslyn - Exit here, or at the next exit and follow the signs to 970 / 97. If you have time (I did) you can follow Hwy 10 to Ellensburg, and then hook in to 97 a little ways ahead. This is probably worth it as 10 is really nice.
(3) At 97, head North into the hills until you connect to Hwy 2.
(4) Hwy 2, go West again, through the pass and arrive back on the West side of the mountains at Gold Bar / Monroe / Woodinville etc.
